Your blood cultures came back positive. You have an infection. Thankfully the bacteria causing the infection is treated effectively by the antibiotic they started yesterday so you seem to already be feeling better. You are now eating 14 cc's at each feeding and they continue to go up every 12 hrs by 1 cc. Tonight you weighed 3 lbs. You do not look quite as fragile as you did the day you were born. You are looking bigger and stronger. I know you do not feel your best right now with this infection, but you are showing us you are not giving up. Your cranial ultrasound was repeated and came back clear. We feel so blessed to not be dealing with any brain bleeds. We have met so many moms here who are praying for their baby's brain bleed. so scary. Your repeat echo showed that your PDA was closed and you have a tiny PFO not requiring any correction at this time. Buddy we love you so much. Keep fighting hard!
